Position Highlights The School of Government & Public Policy at the University of Arizona seeks an Adjunct Instructor (part-time, non-tenure eligible, non-benefits eligible) for the Fall semester (08/25/25-12/10/25) with experience in teaching one or more of the following areas: public policy, political science, and criminal justice studies. The position is available to teach at the graduate-level coursework for the MPA and MPP programs at the Main Campus in Tucson, AZ. Specific graduate coursework includes PA 597H: Public & Nonprofit HR Management. All courses needing instruction are held in-person unless otherwise noted.

The School of Government & Public Policy (SGPP) was formed in 2009 by combining two highly ranked programs - political science and public administration and policy - bringing them under a single roof. Located in the College of Social & Behavioral Sciences, SGPP is one of the largest schools at the University of Arizona and is uniquely situated to serve as a new model for public affairs education by promoting high-caliber research, teaching, community outreach, and civic leadership. Duties & Responsibilities

Duties and responsibilities include:

  • Instruct students, depending on experience and field of
    study.
  • Plan class lectures and assignments.
  • Grade papers and exams.
  • Assign projects.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Master's degree with at least 5 years of professional experience in related subject relevant to class assignment.
Preferred Qualifications PhD in Political Science, Public Policy, or related subject relevant to class assignment.
