The University of Arizona seeks a qualified applicant for the position of Assistant Professor of Marketing for our Tucson area campus. Responsibilities include: Research, teaching and service in the academic department of marketing using the knowledge of Interpretive Data Analysis Methodologies; Post-secondary Teaching; Expertise in Marketing Management; and Expertise in Consumer Culture Theory. The position requires a PhD in Marketing, Business Administration, Administration, or related field or foreign equivalent. Duties & Responsibilities |
- Duties include research,
teaching and service in the academic department of marketing using the knowledge of Interpretive Data Analysis Methodologies; post-secondary teaching; expertise in marketing management; and expertise in consumer culture theory. - The successful candidate is
expected to carry a share of advising duties and committee assignments, and to be a visionary and champion of both undergraduate and graduate education in diverse modalities. The normal teaching load in the department, under present policy, is the equivalent of three courses per academic year with a typical workload distribution:
- 40% teaching;
- 40% scholarly
activity/research; and - 20% service.
- The successful candidate
will perform significant and continuing scholarly research and publish in leading academic journals. - The successful candidate
will mentor students and serve the university through various committee assignments and in additional ways, meeting the needs of both the department and college, and enhance their external stature. - The successful candidate
will possess strong commitment to teaching and research. - The successful candidate
will demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills.
