Title: Market Analyst
Location: Houston, TX

Salary: $99,000 to $150,000
Schedule: Hybrid schedule available of up to 1-2 days remote per week
Relocation Available

Focus: The Market Analyst is responsible for supporting the Epoxy Formulated Solutions business in building industry knowledge and internal processes to accelerate growth. This role is responsible for a seamless operational flow between Sales & Marketing, Supply Chain Planners and Customer Service. With understanding of strategic plans and internal customers' needs, this position develops processes and tools for facilitating and empowering the business with information to achieve outsized growth aspirations.

Market Analyst Essential Responsibilities:

  • Monitors market trends, competitor activity, and regulatory shifts to shape go-to market strategy; maintains market segment assignments.
  • Provides insightful analysis of sales and market data to empower business to capture outsized growth.
  • Creates and institutionalizes the use of dashboards/tools providing oversight necessary to steer the business.
  • Analyzes pricing/price points and distribution partners; monitors market share supporting sales in acquisition of new customers and launch of new products.
  • Acts a problem resolution commercial focal point and prepares supporting documentation for monthly calls.
  • Ensures proper pricing documentation and controls price record management.

Market Analyst Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree* in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Polymer Science, Business or related discipline.
  • Minimum of 5 years of market analysis, sales, technical service, or business development experience.
  • Chemicals industry experience preferred.
  • Strong commercial and financial acumen - strategic and operational.
  • Ability to engage both commercial and technical stakeholders.
  • Proficient in using various reporting and analytical tools to farm information.
  • Advanced knowledge of systems and Microsoft 365 tools (Excel, PowerPoint, SAP); experience in Power BI preferred.
  • Up to 5% travel.
  • Prior Olin experience in a relevant position preferred
