Job Summary:

The production supervisor's position is responsible for managing all standard production orders in a manufacturing environment. This position plans and assigns work, assist in implementing policies and procedures and recommends improvements in production methods, equipment, operating procedures and working conditions.

Key Areas of Responsibility:



  • Responsible for executing production procedures and tasks related to manufacturing
    products in the Tissue Mimicking Products department (TMP), including Solid Water and other molded products.
  • Execute production procedures and tasks as defined in Manufacturing Control Plans and/or Production Procedures and/or other production or engineering documentation for manufacturing TMP products.
  • Perform mold setup and de-molding procedures and tasks per work instructions.
  • Perform finishing/cleaning procedures and tasks per work instructions for all TMP products
  • Execute in-process quality control procedures, tests and tasks per work instructions and quality plans.


Qualifications and Experience:

Education and Experience



  • High School degree, diploma or a GED required
  • 0 - 2 years' experience working in a team oriented, schedule driven production environment
  • other equivalent education and/or experience.


Skills and Competencies



  • Job requires the ability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to read, write and speak English.
  • Ability to operate ovens, sanders, jig saw, table saw, circular saw, evacuation chambers, heavy steel molds, and hand tools.
  • Ability to work safely with chemicals.
  • Ability to solve basic process problems such as air leaks in molds, cosmetic flaws in product, and variability of test results.
  • Must be able to perform simple, algebraic calculations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
  • Must be able to perform effectively in a team setting and independently.
