About the Role:
We're seeking a Senior Software Engineer who thrives in complex environments and enjoys driving modernization efforts. This position sits at the intersection of backend architecture, cloud services, and full-stack application development. You'll help lead the design and delivery of scalable, secure platforms that power critical business systems-while mentoring team members and shaping technical direction.
What You'll Do:
Design and build robust APIs and distributed systems using modern Java frameworks (Spring, Spring Boot) and .NET when needed.
Develop and integrate user-facing applications using frameworks like React, Angular, or Node.js.
Lead modernization initiatives to refactor or replace legacy platforms with cloud-native solutions.
Ensure secure coding practices, data integrity, and API reliability across all services.
Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, product, and architecture teams to deliver strategic features.
Contribute to DevOps pipelines (Git, Azure DevOps, CI/CD) and agile development practices.
Coach junior developers and contribute to a strong, collaborative engineering culture.
What You Bring:
7+ years of hands-on software engineering experience in enterprise environments.
Proficiency with Java (Spring Boot), and experience with .NET or other backend languages.
Strong knowledge of RESTful services, API design, and integration standards (OpenAPI, SOAP optional).
Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks-React or Angular preferred.
Familiarity with Azure or AWS cloud environments and related tools/services.
Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines and version control practices.
Proven ability to work in Agile environments and deliver secure, scalable code.
Experience leading technical projects or mentoring team members.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
