Senior Indirect Tax Analyst

We're looking for a Indirect Tax Senior Analyst to join our growing Tax team in the Woodlands, TX!

Responsibilities:

• Research sales and use tax regulations to communicate tax advice to business partners
• Prepare and review sales tax exemption certificates and supporting documentation
• Identify and research available tax savings opportunities and facilitate their implementation
• Manage the sales and use tax account registration process
• Manage indirect tax audits including communications with business partners and taxing authorities
• Manage the tax compliance calendar and project deadlines
• Prepare and review correspondence with business partners and taxing authorities
• Assist with the implementation of tax technology solutions
• Keep current on indirect tax legislation changes while communicating such updates

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or a related field
• 3-5 years of corporate indirect tax experience, preferably in a multi-state sales and use tax environment
• Ability to clearly share complex tax matters with business partners, management, and tax authorities through verbal and written communication
• Collaborative team player with a strong service mindset
• Effective and efficient decision-making skills based on tax law and the ability to assess the tax implications
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly in Excel
• Proficiency in tax research software (such as Thompson Reuters Checkpoint and/or Avalara)
