Job Summary:
This position oversees all aspects of a warehouse's operation including all material movement and inventory control in plant and warehouse, receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping. Ensure efficient space utilization, manage inventory transactions, implement safety procedures and supervise warehouse/inventory staff.
Essential Functions of the Job:
- Responsible for the effective execution of critical manufacturing site support activities including Product Availability, Shipping/Receiving, and Inventory Control.
- Manage site shipping, receiving, material storage, and inter-plant movement activities for effective facility space utilization, labor efficiency, and material flow (cycle counts, physical counts, FEFO, inventory transaction accuracy, material reconciliations and adjustments for warehouse and plant). Including the development of standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Collaborate with procurement, production, and planning teams to ensure alignment of material availability with production schedules.
- Maintain accurate and timely records of materials received, issued, moved, produced, stored, and shipped into and out of the facility.
- Ensure the team is picking, loading, and rotating product correctly according to FEFO/FIFO. Coach employees on scanning errors or performance issues.
- Execute regular inventory counts, cycle counts, reconciliations, and adjustments to keep the Oracle inventory system accurate.
- Utilize Oracle data to ensure raw materials and components are staged and delivered to production lines on time and in the correct quantities.
- Lead and coordinate the annual physical inventory count, ensuring accurate reconciliation of inventory records, compliance with company procedures, and minimal disruption to operations.
- Lead daily, weekly, and monthly reporting on inventory status, warehouse KPIs, and material availability through the creation of regular reports and metrics. Develop action plans for opportunities and enlist the appropriate team members and partners to drive improvement.
- Ensure compliance and support site audits with Safety, Food Safety, regulatory, and GMP standards in all material handling and storage practices
- Partner with other site functional leaders to identify and implement improvements in shared areas of accountability in support of excellence in overall site performance.
- Executes the disposal of obsolete and excess material. Supports FSQ and engineering for the determination of what should be scrapped, reworked, returned to vendor or possibly sold. Creates destruction paperwork and reconciles inventory.
- Supports implementation of WMS systems and ensure accurate data entry and system integrity.
- Performs other duties, as assigned by leadership.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Directly manages the members of the warehouse/inventory team at the site level.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 5+ years of warehouse experience with increasing responsibility, including supervisory or management experience.
- A solid understanding of warehouse operations, supply chain, logistics scheduling, cost management, and transportation is necessary.
- Prior experience using ERP systems for FEFO/FIFO inventory management is necessary.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business or a related major is preferred.
- Beverage and/or aseptic experience preferred.
- Oracle ERP is preferred.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Proven ability to identify and resolve issues in a timely manner, strong problem-solving skills.
- Solid analytical skills and the ability to manage both at a detailed level and at a broader level of leadership; experience with MS Excel and data analysis.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills including the ability to effectively influence peers and external partners.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment while remaining calm.
Additional Considerations:
- Travel Expectation: Up to 5%
- Work Environment: This position will need to perform duties at the plant and warehouse.
- Relocation or international remote working arrangements will not be considered
Work Environment/Physical Demands:
Approximately; 65% of work is performed in an office environment. 35% of work may involve being in the manufacturing environment.
