Rutgers University-Camden seems Early Childhood Teachers. These positions will report to the Assistant Director or Supervisor of the Early Learning Research Academy. The Early Childhood Teacher will be responsible for establishing and maintaining a classroom environment that effectively supports children's physical, emotional, intellectual, and social development. This includes organizing space, materials, routines, and guidance techniques to foster a positive learning experience. This position operates under the Early Learning Research Academy through a contract with the Camden Board of Education and is covered by the Abbott Early Childhood Program of the State of New Jersey.

Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience, within university policy and salary schedules, as well as departmental budgets. |

Minimum Education and Experience |
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education. Must have NJ P-3 certification (standard or provisional)
- Must successfully pass a state criminal background check
- Must complete CPR training and certification.
- Must pass New Jersey Child Abuse Record Information

* Mastery of immersion instruction techniques, with demonstrated skill in "sheltered" delivery and effective scaffolding of subject-area content, particularly in bilingual or multilingual settings.
* Extensive training and experience in balanced literacy approaches, early childhood development, and best practices in preschool education.
* Strong understanding of child development theories and practical application of developmentally appropriate practices to support social, emotional, cognitive, and physical growth.
* Knowledge of and commitment to applicable safety procedures, health protocols, and emergency response practices to ensure a secure learning environment.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of engaging effectively with children, families, colleagues, and community partners from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
* Proven ability to evaluate, design, and implement engaging curriculum, assessment tools, testing strategies, and innovative teaching methodologies tailored to young children's needs.
* Ability to create and facilitate activities that promote healthy growth, curiosity, independence, and social skills.
* Strong classroom management skills, with the ability to exercise control, maintain discipline, and foster a positive, respectful classroom climate.
* Commitment to providing a supportive, nurturing, and inclusive environment that encourages all children to thrive and reach their full potential.
* Experience in developing and delivering educational programs and professional workshops for colleagues, parents, and community groups.
* Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish highly preferred, with the ability to communicate and teach effectively in both languages.
* Prior experience working in diverse, multicultural settings, demonstrating cultural competency and sensitivity.
* Ability to incorporate technology and innovative teaching tools into daily instruction to enhance learning outcomes.
* Willingness to participate in ongoing professional development and stay current with emerging trends in early childhood education and bilingual instruction.
* Knowledge of family engagement techniques and the ability to build strong partnerships with families to support student success.
