Job Purpose:

  • Delivers client support and investment research services to a broad and diverse range of clients, including endowments, foundations, pension plans, operating funds, and other institutional client portfolios.

Essential Functions and Primary Duties:
  • Timely and accurately complete monthly and quarterly client performance reports for complex institutional client portfolios
  • Assist the Consultant and Institutional Investment Director with in-depth portfolio analysis regarding asset allocation, asset class research, investment manager selection, and strategic implementation
  • Coordinate portfolio-related projects (e.g. rebalancing) with client, custodian, and investment manager(s) as needed
  • Work with the Institutional Investment Director on initial and ongoing due diligence of investment managers, including database documentation and client-facing presentations
  • Assist/participate with the Consultant in all areas of client service and meeting preparation

Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Economics or Accounting
  • Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and/or Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) designationsMinimum of 3 years of institutional investment advisory, management, research or related experience
  • Possesses fundamental knowledge of the investment/financial services industry
  • Proficient use of MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint); prior experience with Bloomberg, PARis, Morningstar Direct, eVestment Alliance or Envestnet a plus
  • Experience performing work that requires initiative and leadership skills
  • Ability to anticipate and elicit client needs
  • Ability to self-learn and develop business and technical knowledge quickly
  • Motivated team player with demonstrated interpersonal skills
  • Comfortable working with quick turnaround times and deadlines
    Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with individuals at all levels of the organization
  • Capacity to adapt and work effectively within a variety of situations, and with various individuals or groups
  • Display innovative ideas and solutions, and the capacity to identify and eliminate redundant work efforts and inefficient processes
  • Ability to travel as necessary
  • Detail-oriented, highly organized, and able to multitask
Minimum Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • At least three years of professional, DB investment management experience
  • Possesses comprehensive knowledge of industry and professional concepts, principles, practices, and procedures
  • Possesses comprehensive knowledge of pertinent laws, regulations and professional standards
  • Proficient use of applicable technology
  • Proficient use of MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and enterprise communication and travel solutions (Concur, Skype)
  • Experience performing work that requires initiative and leadership skills
  • Pursuing Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designations
  • Ability to anticipate and elicit customer needs
  • Ability to self-learn and develop business and technical knowledge quickly
  • Motivated team player with demonstrated interpersonal skills
  • Comfortable working with quick turnaround times and deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with individuals at all levels of the organization
  • Ability to travel as necessary
