CLA is growing and seeking to hire an experienced Data Governance Senior to join our talented Information Technology team. The position offers growth, flexibility and a collaborative work environment. This role leads data governance initiatives and ensures data quality and compliance. How you'll create opportunities in this Data Governance Senior role:
- Lead the implementation of data governance frameworks, policies, and standards.
- Monitor data quality and ensure adherence to data governance practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address data quality and data governance issues and implement solutions.
- Manage data governance projects and initiatives.
- Build and maintain data dictionaries, data rules, and metadata repositories.
- Facilitate data governance training and awareness programs.
- Support business data stewards in defining business glossaries and taxonomy/hierarchies
- Provide guidance and mentorship to team members.
- Create metrics and KPIs to measure governance program success.
What you will need:
- 4 years of relevant experience required.
- Experience in data governance or data management preferred.
- Experience with Data Governance tools such a Colilbra, Informatica Axon, Ataccama, Microsoft Purview.
- Bachelor's degree or a combination of relevant experience and training may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field is preferred
Certifications / Licenses:
- Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP) preferred
Technical Competencies:
- Familiarity with data governance tools and technologies.
- Experience with Data Governance tools such as Colilbra, Informatica Axon, Ataccama, Microsoft Purview.
- Experience with data profiling, cleansing, and monitoring tools.
- Knowledge of privacy, and security, and other regulatory requirements such as GDPR, HIPAA, CCPA, SOX, etc. regulations and their impact on data governance.
- Experience with data architecture, data modeling, crosswalks, and mappings.
- Familiarity with Azure, AWS, or GCP data services (e.g., Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Snowflake).
- Proficiency in SQL to query, review, and validate data.
- Strong understanding of data governance principles, policies, and best practices (e.g., DAMA-DMBOK), data stewardship, and ownership models.
