OUR OPENING

The Senior Human Resources Generalist will play a key role in delivering HR programs to employees, facilitating
processes, and managing the day-to-day operations of the HR function. This role is responsible for fostering a positive
workplace culture, compliance with HR policies and regulations, and contributes to the overall success of the
organization in partnership with employees and managers. This role will be responsible for specific business clients as
well as leading HR processes as SME across the organization while leading and/or partnering with the HR team for
effective delivery and outcomes.

WHAT WOULD YOU DO AS A SENIOR HUMAN RESOURCES GENERALIST?

Employee Relations & Experience



  • Serve as a trusted resource for employees and management, addressing concerns, resolving conflicts, and
    promoting productive work environment
  • Build strong communication and foster a positive workplace culture with our office & field employees.
  • Recommend policy changes or new initiatives to drive employee satisfaction and retention.
  • Address employee disputes and conflicts professionally and confidentially, seeking to find fair and equitable
    resolutions.
  • Responsible for managing and conducting employee relations investigations, addressing employee's concerns to
    resolve employee issues.
  • Collaborate with management to implement performance review processes and provide guidance to leaders on
    delivering effective feedback to drive a performance-based culture.
  • Responsible for enabling and delivering HR process in areas such as performance management, employee
    lifecycle-on/offboarding, employee engagement, annual compensation review, EEO reporting, leave
    management.
  • Responsible for providing feedback and recommendations to leadership for continuous improvement aimed at
    enhancing employee satisfaction and retention.
  • Implement the performance management process to ensure all employees understand how their role
    contributes to achieving company goals, foster regular feedback and actively develop.
  • Identify leadership, supervisor and professional development needs to develop talent, deliver on organizational
    outcomes and prepare for future talent needs.


Compliance



  • Stay up to date with labor laws and regulations, ensuring that our organization remains in compliance.
  • Responsible for ensuring processes & procedures are designed to follow all pre & post-employment policies and procedures (i.e. DOT pre-employment, random, post-accident, and reasonable suspicion drug testing )
  • Create documentation and ensure records are retained according to the retention schedule for personnel file
    compliance.
  • Champion company policies and procedures in orientation for new employees, providing key information to
    help employees be successful.


Other HR Responsibilities



  • Support recruitment efforts through partnering with recruiters to align on qualification, interview process,
    position needs, workforce planning or other recruiting events.
  • Participate in employee new hire orientation or other training initiatives upon request.
  • Advise on FMLA, Journey Group's Leave of Absence, Paid Parental Leave programs upon request and collaborate
    with the Compensation & Benefits Administer to ensure compliance.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of all employees and organizational information to protect company operations
    and ensure compliance with privacy regulations


EXPERINCE AND EDUCATION REQUIRED



  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration or related field of study preferred.
  • 10 years progressive HR experience including employee relations, benefits administration and leader coaching.
  • SHRM CP or PHR Certification preferred


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES NEEDED



  • Advanced knowledge of the human resources field, including knowledge of federal, state, and local employment
    laws and regulations.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, prioritizing, problem-solving, and presentation skills.
  • Self-motivated with ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects, adapt well to change, and critical
    attention to detail and deadlines.
  • Ability to operate independently while establishing strong working relationships with others using sensitivity and
    respect in a diverse workforce.
  • Ethically maintain the integrity and confidentiality of all privileged information that is used or observed in the
    course of performing job duties.
  • Proficient in applicable computer programs including Microsoft Office Suite, HRIS systems, and Applicant
    Tracking Systems required. Experience with multiple HRIS systems; Vista by Viewpoint is a plus.
  • Possess a valid driver's license, safe driving record, and evidence of insurability is required.
