The Azure Compute Analytics and Insights team is a growing Agile team tasked with turning our incredibly rich and Big data into strategic assets that will drive business and engineering goals and efforts.As a Data Scientist, you will be helping to build tools and analytics purposed at improving the availability and reliability of Azure Compute resources with a focus on leveraging emerging Large Language Models (LLM) technologies to improve operational efficiency. We're looking for a full stack Data Scientist who is comfortable coding and performing data engineering. The ideal candidate should have a passion around turning data into meaningful analytics that impact the business. As a member of our team you would be helping to analyze causes of interruptions to Azure Virtual Machine (VM) and deliver insights to executive leadership to inform overall Azure strategy and directly to customers to improve their satisfaction with Azure. ResponsibilitiesYou will help with initial data collection and understand which analysis techniques are appropriate and which tools are necessary for data exploration. You'll also develop a foundational understanding of methodology and standard statistical options so that you can analyze and organize data as required.You will understand modeling techniques used within the team, then run model tools on prepared data sets. You'll also analyze model performance and incorporate customer feedback into its evaluation.You will understand the current state of the industry, including current trends, so that you can contribute to thought leadership best practices. You'll also write code for a specific feature or model, and develop an understanding of proper debugging techniques.You will understand each customer's business goals and learn best practices for identifying growth opportunities. You'll also examine projects through a customer-oriented focus, and manage customer expectations regarding project progress. |
