Overview

Support activities led by the Compliance Regulatory Liaison team, including but not limited to compliance management system program operations/governance/monitoring, external regulatory & internal exam management, third party risk management, and ad-hoc operational governance activities. Review organization's business practices to ensure pertinent regulations are followed, identify areas of opportunity and create a plan and help implement changes as needed. Maintain a deep knowledge of regulations and stay abreast of all regulatory changes relevant to industry and organization. Help assist in the development/direction/performance of compliance management programs impacting Navy Federal Credit Union.

Responsibilities

  • Support Compliance governance programs and activities.
  • Uphold regulatory obligations in federal regulatory examinations.
  • Manage full cycle examination support including intake and response coordination.
  • Collaborate with legal, operations, compliance, and finance teams to ensure compliance.
  • Develop and implement procedures to minimize business impact during examinations.
  • Serve on teams and task groups for programs or initiatives of significant impact within the business unit &/or across the organization
  • Lead preparation of exam requests, review document/data requests, and coordinate responses.
  • Partner with leadership and business partners to resolve issues effectively.
  • Analyze regulatory requirements and recommend compliance strategies.
  • Prepare reports and presentations for internal stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in operations or technology risk/control function
  • 2+ years of direct experience with regulatory examinations (NCUA, CFPB, S&P, etc.)
  • Familiarity with lending regulations, credit union regulations, and financial services industry best practices.
  • Experience creating and implementing operational efficiencies.
  • Strong organizational, process, and project management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects or exams effectively.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to interpret and explain legal and regulatory obligations clearly.
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related field

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience with building & monitoring different reporting tools (PowerBI, SharePoint, WorkFront)

Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00AM - 4:30PM
