Overview

Beyond New Horizons, LLC (BNH) has an exciting opportunity for an Administrative Assistant, supporting TOS II, at Tunnel 9 in White Oak, Maryland. The Administrative Assistant will be working as a member of an integrated team responsible for operating and maintaining the United States Air Force Test Operations and Sustainment efforts.

Job Summary

Provide comprehensive administrative support including document management, communication, scheduling, and record-keeping, while ensuring efficient office operations and adherence to company policies. This role requires proficiency in office software, strong organizational skills, and the ability to handle confidential information with professionalism.

Job Duties:

    Provide independent administrative support of a responsible and confidential nature, including document control and records management, to ensure the smooth functioning of the department.
  • Utilize office automation software, tools, and techniques (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, including word processing, spreadsheets, and databases) to support office operations and create various documents, such as letters, reports, spreadsheets, databases, and graphs.
  • Apply knowledge of clerical procedures, rules, and operations to prepare and review routine correspondence and reports, screen telephone calls and visitors, maintain files and records, process mail, and perform other administrative tasks for the organization.
  • Manage the shipping and receiving of both routine and time-sensitive/critical items.
  • Conduct end-of-day security checks to ensure all areas are properly secured.
  • Compose and distribute correspondence using standard word processing systems or other software applications. Stay informed of key issues, commitments, and priorities of manager(s).
  • Attend meetings to take notes and compile and distribute meeting minutes as required.
  • Provide employee in-processing and paperwork support, schedule and coordinate job interviews, manage the out-processing of terminating employees, and schedule medical appointments as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records of property assigned to individual employees, including property assignment, records entry, and reporting.
  • Schedule appointments, visitors, and maintain calendars.
  • Maintain office supplies, ensuring availability when needed.
  • Adhere to and support company policies, procedures, and good industrial and office safety practices.
  • It is a condition of employment to wear company issued PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) in accordance with supervisory direction and company policy.
  • Performs other related duties as required.

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent plus two years of applicable experience or any equivalent combination of applicable education and experience.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, using tact and courtesy.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain security clearance and the AEDC local area network.
  • Current U. S. Citizenship required.
