POSITION SPECIFICS The Education Policy Studies Department is seeking to hire an experienced administrative professional as an Academic Program Coordinator (filled at the level of Intermediate Support). The Academic Program Coordinator will ensure smooth operations within the department by collaborating with and supporting faculty, staff, and students; responding to program inquiries; assisting with academic procedures; maintaining records; and managing applications. This position is also vital to the Education Policy Studies Department by liaising with university offices to support faculty and students, as well as coordinating and planning program related events including orientations, receptions, and workshops. More specific responsibilities of the Academic Program Coordinator include but are not limited to: Student Support Service:

MINIMUM EDUCATION, WORK EXPERIENCE & REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS General Equivalency Diploma (GED) or High School (HS) 2+ years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience accepted Required Certifications: NoneAnother duty of this position will be to develop, update, and maintain program resources, such as handbooks, website information, and databases. The Academic Program Coordinator will work independently on complex projects and utilize organizational skills to complete the responsibilities of this position. Preferred Qualifications: After training, the Academic Program Coordinator will also work with various software including Microsoft Office 365, SAP Concur, and Activity Insight (to assist faculty members with collecting, organizing, and displaying data), as well as the following which are specific to Penn State:
Additional Information: This position will report to the Administrative Support Manager in the Department of Education Policy Studies. The College of Education is supportive of flexible work arrangements when aligned with the ability to meet the needs of the unit and the essential duties of the position.
