IT Project Manager

Inova IT is looking for a dedicated IT Project Manager to join the Team. This remote role will be full-time working Monday - Friday day shift.

The IT Project Manager serves as the program/project manager of critical IT programs/projects, as designated by senior leadership, not including construction efforts. Supports the IT Enterprise Project Office while promoting portfolio, program and project management standards across Inova Health System's IT division. Facilitates communication and training of project management standards to team members.

IT Project Manager Job Responsibilities:

• Identifies and/or makes recommendations to improve Inova Health System's Project Management Framework.
• Coordinates and supervises the full life cycle of program/project management activities for assigned programs/projects from initiation through closure by following best practices and Inova's Project Management Framework.
• Completes programs/projects as assigned according to the parameters and timelines discussed/agreed on by requested client (e.g. operating unit management, executive management, etc.).
• Communicates new ideas and/or challenges verbally and in position papers and opportunity statements for program expansion or new program development opportunities, when requested.
• Supports the assessment of current organizational project management capabilities that will serve as an initial maturity benchmarking effort.
• Tracks project metrics for all projects throughout the organization and maintains centralized accountability for the management of the project portfolio.
• Determines needs and goals. Develops a conceptual roadmap that identifies the areas, timing, "targets" and high-level schedule for improvements in project management practices.
• Supports organizational change management activities aimed at gaining buy-in, acceptance and support of enterprise project management standards.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor's degree; or Associate's Degree and 2 years relevant professional experience in addition to the minimum experience required; or HS Diploma/GED and 4 years relevant professional experience in addition to the minimum experience required
• Experience: 8 years of relevant experience, 3 years of supervisory experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• Strong understanding of Technology Business Management and FinOps principles preferred.
• Demonstrated success managing enterprise-scale IT financial models preferred.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams through data-driven decision making preferred.
• Advanced proficiency in analytics and automation tools preferred.
• Strategic thinker with a continuous improvement mindset preferred.
• Project or engagement management experience in IT Infrastructure, cloud, or shared services domains preferred.
