Clinical Psychology Assistant Professor Position Department of Psychology

The department of Psychology at Santa Clara University, a Jesuit, Catholic university, seeks applicants for a full-time tenure-track position in Clinical, Clinical-Community or Counseling Psychology beginning in Fall 2026. The area of sub-specialization is open, but strong preference is for scholars in clinical or counseling psychology whose research demonstrates meaningful community impact and advances our shared commitment to social justice and service to vulnerable communities. Applicants must have a PhD or ABD (all but dissertation) required by the appointment start date, as well as a strong record of research scholarship, and experience teaching and mentoring undergraduates. The candidate should be prepared to teach upper-division courses such as Psychopathology, and Psychological Assessment, as well as a balance of Introductory Psychology and/or Research Methods. Experience with high-quality, evidence-based, inclusive teaching and mentoring practices, and a research program that has the potential to incorporate trainees from a diverse undergraduate student population are preferred.
