Willdan is seeking a Systems Administrator for our Anaheim, CA office. This will be a hybrid role. The Systems Administrator plays a key role in managing and optimizing cloud services (Office 365, Azure, AWS), virtual environments, and overall enterprise system performance. The Systems Administrator works closely with infrastructure, security, and helpdesk teams to ensure robust, scalable, and secure operations across both cloud and on-premises platforms. This role combines traditional systems administration responsibilities with a deep understanding of modern cloud ecosystems. It supports initiatives aligned with business growth, compliance requirements, and ongoing IT modernization.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Administer and maintain Microsoft 365 tenant, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, compliance/security tools, and Intune MDM.
  • Manage and support cloud infrastructure (Azure, AWS) including virtual machines, S3 storage, identity and access management, and monitoring tools.
  • Maintain and optimize virtualized environments (Hyper-V, Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops, Azure Virtual Desktop).
  • Configure, monitor, and support enterprise datacenter infrastructure, including Windows Servers, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policies.
  • Handle identity lifecycle management including onboarding/offboarding users across AD, M365, Okta, and enterprise apps.
  • Perform mailbox migrations and user provisioning using PowerShell and Exchange Online tools.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot SSO integrations, email security tools (e.g., Mimecast), and license servers for business-critical software (e.g., Autodesk, ESRI).
  • Collaborate with IT leadership on cloud migration projects, security patching, and acquisition integrations.
  • Ensure compliance with SOX/ISO standards through proper documentation, audits, and reporting.
  • Travel to branch offices as needed to support deployments or IT escalations.
  • Responsible for the monitoring, maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems, network, and servers (including but not limited to Hyper-V, AWS, Azure, Citrix/Virtualized Apps and Desktops).

Job Requirements / Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field preferred; or a proven combination of education and experience.
  • 3+ years of experience with Microsoft server technologies (Windows Server, AD, GPO, DNS, DHCP).
  • 2+ years of experience with cloud platforms such as Azure and AWS (EC2, IAM, S3, Azure AD).
  • Strong experience with Office 365 administration, including PowerShell scripting.
  • Experience managing virtualization technologies (Hyper-V, Citrix, Azure VMs).
  • Familiarity with networking fundamentals (IP, VLANs, firewalls, VPNs).
  • Solid understanding of system and network security principles.
  • Preferred:
    • IT Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, AWS Solutions Architect, CompTIA Network+/Security+, or Citrix.
    • Experience in system/network security and patch management.
    • Experience with Office 365, Azure, AWS, Box, Cisco Webex Control Hub, SolarWinds ServiceDesk, ManageEngine, Mimecast, Citrix, & Okta is a plus.
    • Experience with Autodesk/AutoCAD, ESRI/ArcGIS, and Bentley licensing, provisioning, and software support is a plus.
