We at Nintendo are looking for a seasoned Senior Software Engineer to join our Platform Security team. In this role, you will be collaborating with various engineers to help architect, design, and implement embedded security software for our game systems and platforms, as well as research/evaluate new security technologies.

Please note this is NOT an IT Cybersecurity role.

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES
  • Work with various teams to identify technical security requirements and architecture

  • Design and implement security features in our embedded software systems

  • Analyze weaknesses, vulnerabilities and threats - e.g. side channel or fault injection attacks

  • Conduct security-focused code reviews

  • Prototype and evaluate new security countermeasures/solutions with both hardware and software

  • Research and stay abreast of the latest security technologies and trends
SUMMARY OF REQUIREMENTS
  • 5+ years of experience working on platform security

  • Strong C/C++ programming skills

  • Proven record of designing and delivering software security systems

  • Experience incorporating hardware-based security techniques - ARM TrustZone, secure boot, etc...

  • Sound knowledge of cryptography fundamentals and public key infrastructure

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

  • System-level (kernel/bootloader) software development experience preferred

  • Experience with binary reverse engineering preferred

  • Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or a related field
This position is onsite in Redmond, WA, and not open to remote status at this time.
This position includes a base salary range of $146,079 - $219,119 annually, potential for a semi-annual discretionary performance bonus, and a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and paid time off.
