Our business is comprised of two reporting segments, Electrical Raceway and Mechanical Products & Solutions, with total annual revenue of $1.6 B. Mechanical Products is a stand-alone business unit with about $600M in annual revenue.

Our global locations include 58 manufacturing and distribution centers in the US, Canada, the United Kingdom, China, Australia, and New Zealand with over 3,600 employees.

We are currently searching for a Shipper/Loader to be based out of Milford, UT. Reporting to the Shipping Manager, this person will load and unload trucks with finished product as well as build partial racks to complete orders.

The ideal candidate will have prior success as a Shipper/ Loader Technician or equivalent position at Atkore International and experience in lean manufacturing or a business system-based company is a plus.

Additional Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:



  • Knows and follows plant safety rules and wears proper PPE (safety glasses, ear plugs, steel-toed shoes, and gloves
  • Knows and follows yard and dock loading/unloading safety rules and procedures
  • Able to locate, accurately count, and package products for shipment
  • Inspect products and packaging for damage
  • Package, palletize and bundle product for shipment using means appropriate for method of transportation
  • Proficient with all sorts of material handling and packaging devices including forklifts, pallet jacks, and banders
  • Cycle count product and paper work
  • Accurately receive and record inbound freight shipments
  • Aware of overstock areas
  • Load out customer will call and other docked van freight
  • Unload product from flatbeds and docked van freight
  • Packing accuracy must be at or exceed an acceptable level
  • Perform general warehouse duties and cleanup
  • All other duties as assigned.



Qualifications include:




  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Experience with forklift, shrink wrapper, weigh station and scanners, utility knife, hand bander, hand tools, fuel tanks, batteries, box and labeling preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills
  • Good understanding of basic math required for quick and accurate counting and calculations
  • High attention to detail, accuracy, time management, and organization
  • Shows initiative
  • Must be adaptable to changes in the work environment, comfortable with multiple competing demands and is able to deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events in a calm and logical manner
  • Must be able to work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced work environment

As of the date of this posting, a good faith estimate of the current pay for this position is $20.15 per hour. Placement in the range depends on several factors including, but not limited to, specific competencies, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, relevant experience, skills, seniority, performance, shift, travel requirements, and business or organizational needs and may change over time. Other compensation may include, but not limited to, overtime, shift differentials, bonuses, commissions, stock, and other incentives.
