This position is located on campus in Hanover, NH and requires regular weekly on-site work presence of 3 days per week, and remote flexibility other days, with the understanding that full-time on-site presence will be required during program delivery weeks.

Position Purpose
To manage administrative and fiscal activities of Health Care Management Education at Dartmouth ( HCME), ensuring the highest level of customer service to all HCME constituents, including students, faculty, alumni, and staff.
Description
Required Qualifications - Education and Yrs Exp Associates or equivalent combination of education and experience
Required Qualifications - Skills, Knowledge and Abilities

  • Five years of administrative and financial management experience.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to plan, coordinate, and prioritize the activities of the department.
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse constituents.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of accounting and budgeting principles, practices, and procedures.
  • Judgment, initiative, discretion.
  • Knowledge of a variety of computer software applications, including Banner, Finance databases, Canvas, Zoom, Slate (or equivalent programs).
  • Ability to adapt to new and changing IT applications and environments.
  • Commitment to diversity and to serving the needs of a diverse population.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Experience in higher education.

Key Accountabilities


Description
1. Department Administration:

  • Manages the administrative functions of Health Care Management Education in conformance with the goals and priorities established by the Associate Dean and in accordance with Dartmouth College policies and procedures
  • Acts as liaison to various campus departments and outside entities
  • Interprets, applies, and explains program and College policies and procedures
  • Continually evaluates current systems with the goal of continual improvement
  • Performs primary office administration as needed to provide access to office services, equipment, and supplies
  • Regularly handles confidential or sensitive information; exercises discretion concerning its disposition
  • Supports Health Care Management Education faculty and staff in scheduling complex meetings and performs other administrative duties in support of programs and Associate Dean
  • Provides the highest level of customer service to students, faculty, alumni, and program staff

2. Student Services

  • Assists with registrar duties for HCME degree programs; certifies students with Veterans Affairs
  • Collaboratively manages new student on-boarding, including billing, liaison with health services, OVIS, and graduate financial aid, and manages student adherence to deadlines
  • Assists with student residential periods and alumni events and activities, including administrative, event, and communications support

3. Financial Administration

  • Manages day-to-day financial transactions, reconciliations, deposits, transfers, and related transactions
  • Oversees purchasing for the HCME programs
  • Researches historical and other data and estimates the costs of expenses

4. Information Management:

  • Establishes and maintains HMCE's degree program print and digital records, correspondence, and other files to ensure accuracy and accessibility of information
  • Acts as Records Custodian for the HCME.
  • Collects and consolidates statistical or research-related information for use in Program reports and publications as requested.
