Join us as our new Quality Operations Engineer!
This position provides technical expertise in food safety by having strong analytical and problem-solving skills, effective communication and leadership abilities, and a commitment to ethical and regulatory standards. These competencies, combined with adaptability and a continuous learning mindset, allow Quality Operations Engineers to excel in their roles and contribute to delivering safe, high-quality food products. In this role you'll make an impact by:
Driving food and feed safety compliance at local site via working cross-functionally. Supporting Americas regional sites on an ad-hoc basis. Interacting with all relevant internal and external departments/authorities to assure risks are mitigated regarding Novonesis' Quality programs including certifications and regulatory requirements. Supporting product quality via DA/DM systems. Leading project management initiatives with a focus on hygienic design principles. Overseeing and implementing effective management of change process. Conducting and maintaining hygiene qualification assessments to ensure compliance. Managing contractor check-in procedures to uphold safety and operational standards. Taking ownership of raw material oversight, including quality and compliance. Addressing and resolving supplier complaints while maintaining strong vendor relationships. Continually improving food/feed management systems and assisting with training as needed. Food/Feed Management System: GMP, HACCP, Food/Feed Safety, Food/Feed Defense, Audits, Food Contact Materials governance
To succeed you must hold:
B.S. degree in Engineering discipline Minimum of 2 years of industry related experience in Food Quality programs preferred The ability to physically move around the site including lifting up to 60 pounds, pulling 20 pounds, working at heights and in confined spaces, and climbing stairs and ladders frequently
