Duties:

  • Lead & complete new product design projects.
  • Apply & demonstrate engineering design-best-practices & value engineering during project development.
  • Ensure design follows design criteria, standards & specifications as well as local codes & regulations.
  • Develop, implement, & maintain design standards, guides, & procedures.
  • Follow Project Management Process & Procedures.
  • Act as a key point of feedback for engineering processes & standards to assure that world class warranty levels are achieved.
  • Demonstrate commitment to Safety, led by example.
  • Support growth of the team & the company.
  • Communicate change orders & execute change management processes.
  • Review Equipment Technical Specifications, such as Specification & Mechanical Data Sheets.
  • Provide project technical support - familiarity with risk assessments, design reviews, constructability, and HAZOP.
  • Maintain a strong focus on quality, cost, & overall customer value.
  • Work with Manufacturing Engineering, Quality Engineers, & suppliers to drive world class concurrent engineering results.

Telecommuting permitted up to 60%. Domestic (U.S.) travel is required up to 10%.

Requirements: Position requires a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field and three (3) years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in job offered or in an Engineer III, Mechanical-related occupation.

Position requires demonstrable experience with the following:

  • Demonstrable knowledge in New Product Development such as APQP (Advance Product Quality Planning) or similar.
  • Demonstrable expertise in 3D Modelling for Heavy Structural Design & handling large assemblies.
  • Demonstrable expertise in Structural Analysis (FEA methodologies using Creo, Solidworks or Ansys).
  • Demonstrable experience preparing Drawings, Bill of Materials, and support Product Manuals release.
  • Demonstrable experience with release New Product or Engineering Changes through Engineering Change Release process.
  • Demonstrable experience presenting concise, well-organized technical reports in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint & Excel.
  • Demonstrate experience with Mechanism / Motion Studies on Industrial Machine Mechanism using Creo Mechanism, SolidWorks Motion Analysis, and/or ANSYS dynamic simulation.
  • Demonstrate experience in doing Engineering Calculation for Refuse Truck Mechanism & document them in MathCAD and/or Spreadsheet.
