Position Summary:
Join Securian Financial as a Project Portfolio Manager and help shape the future of enterprise planning. In this high-impact role, you'll lead strategic portfolio planning, drive governance practices, and partner with senior leaders to align initiatives with business goals. Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Ensure portfolio management best practices and standards are adhered to for assigned portfolio(s).
  • Accountable for governance compliance and performing routine assessments of portfolio health.
  • Lead portfolio strategy development and ensure alignment with enterprise goals.
  • Guide business case creation, cost-benefit analysis, and benefits realization tracking.
  • Establish and manage governance processes, reporting, and performance reviews.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to plan and prioritize initiatives within assigned portfolio(s).
  • Facilitate intake and ideation processes to support strategic decision-making.
  • Identify and mitigate portfolio-level risks while optimizing resource and funding allocation.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in portfolio, program, or project management.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills across all levels.
  • Proven ability to think critically and adapt in dynamic environments.
  • Experience structuring complex initiatives into actionable plans.
  • Skilled in executive reporting and stakeholder alignment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or related field-or equivalent experience.
  • PMP, PgMP, PfMP, or similar certification.

#LI-Hybrid **This position will have a hybrid working arrangement, working in-office for a minimum of 3 days a week.**

Our policy allows flexibility for the reality of business and personal schedules.

The estimated base pay range for this job is:

$69,500.00 - $129,000.00

Pay may vary depending on job-related factors and individual experience, skills, knowledge, etc. More information on base pay and incentive pay (if applicable) can be discussed with a member of the Securian Financial Talent Acquisition team.
