Overview:
Maintains, services and conducts minor repairs on equipment and buildings depending on business priorities, schedules, and plans. Performs a variety of semiskilled duties in the areas of machine servicing, plumbing, carpentry, painting, electrical, or vehicle servicing. Maintains a clean safe work area. Complies with established safety guidelines and procedures. Perform planned, preventative, and corrective maintenance in accordance with the CMMS Work Order System. Prioritize tasks to prevent and reduce downtime. Orders parts and maintains inventory. May work non-standard hours depending on business conditions. Works under moderate supervision. Essential Functions:
Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent. Ability to read electrical wiring diagrams and mechanical drawings Knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, geometry, calculus, statistics, and their applications Working knowledge of computers and Microsoft Office products. Must be able to speak, read, and write English. Must have 5 years minimum maintenance experience with some construction trade experience. Must possess a valid Driver's License and safe driving record. Working Hours and Conditions, including Travel Required: Travel - less than 5% Working hours - 1st or 2nd shift but may require non-standard hours to support business demands. Forklift; scaffolding; measuring and testing instruments; hand tools; welding equipment; pipe cutting and threading machine; grinders; electric and pneumatic tools and calculator. Have physical dexterity to descend into pits by climbing up/down vertical wall ladders, climb onto roof tops using conventional ladders, work on scaffolding 20 feet high, must lift up to 50 lbs. from floor to work table height, carry 50 lbs. up/down ladders within cramped and/or confined spaces. Some process areas are not temperature controlled. Open work areas are subject to outside climatic conditions. Exposure to dusts and chemical fumes requires use of appropriate PPE. |
