Manager, Business Continuity & Emergency ManagementSummary The Business Continuity & Emergency Management team advances resiliency capabilities and reduces risk for all hazards within our company and communities to create a safe, secure, sustainable, and reliable future. This position leads and prepares Portland General Electric to detect, assess, respond to, and recover from All Hazards incidents in partnership with the whole community. This leadership position is essential in driving the emergency support functions that PGE must execute on in storms, PSPS, and outage level events in to restore service to our customers in a timely and efficient manner. The manager-level role is also responsible for maintaining and strengthening our relationships with local and state government emergency officials as well as the OPUC for which it is a public expectation that we collaborate to resolve challenges in times of emergency. The authority the position brings is essential to both internal and external relationships as it relates to strengthening our programmatic response to outages and the multi-departmental alignment required to advance and execute on continuity and emergency resiliency plans. In addition, this position leads a diverse group of professionals by setting the goals and measuring outcomes to ensure the company is well positioned to respond to all hazards and business continuity interruptions. This effort is accomplished by ensuring PGE departments have appropriate plans that are well understood, well-coordinated, tested and are consistently improved upon. A key to PGE's success is to outstanding relationships with PGE's utility partners, as well as local, state, and federal partners. Responsibilities BCEM Program Management Manages a team of business continuity emergency management professionals responsible for promoting corporate resiliency by developing and implementing plans to mitigate the impact of emergencies, respond to emergencies and recover operations afterwards; provides technical management for the team, ensuring that objectives are met and all relevant standards/procedures are followed; ensures that operational problems are identified and resolved; ensures that operational procedures and working practices are current and fit for the purpose. Compliance Ensures corporate business continuity and emergency management and security functions meet regulatory requirements, best practices, laws, rules, compliance with industry standards, customer expectations, employee safety and financial guidelines. External Relations Represents the company in emergency management industry association committees and business continuity forums; actively participates in regional interdependencies, emergency planning and disaster recovery plans and exercises. Financial Management Monitors and manages expenditures, ensuring that all financial targets are met, and examines any areas where budgets/expenditures vary from plan; assists with the definition and operation of effective financial controls and decision making. Resourcing Oversees resourcing decisions and planning for team, partners with HR in the definition of jobs, recruitment, evaluation and selection processes. Professional Development Reviews organizational development needs and training strategies to determine required learning and development outcomes for the team; provides guidance in the creation of development plans; monitors ongoing progress and provides coaching and mentoring and provides feedback; completes annual performance management reviews. Qualifications Education Bachelor's degree in risk management, business continuity, emergency management, security or related field or equivalent experience. Experience Eight or more years in enterprise-wide business continuity or emergency management in a heavily regulated industry or related field. Competencies Functional Competencies

Environment- Indoor/Outdoor : Office, Plant, Field Compensation Range: $119,840.00 - $222,560.00Actual total compensation, including a performance based incentive bonus, is commensurate with experience, skills, qualifications, education, training, and internal equity. While we anticipate the selected candidate for this position will fall towards the middle or entry point of the compensation range, the decision will be made on a case-by-case basis.
