We're seeking a future team member for the role of Vice President, Exchange Traded Funds Basket Services to join our Fund Accounting Team. This role is located in Los Angeles, CA. In this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways:
- Provide oversight for multiple small teams or one large team of staff responsible for conducting Basket Services on behalf of assigned clients including Portfolio Composition File (PCF) preparation, Creation and Redemption order processing, Cash and in-kind settlement arrangements, Unit settlement arrangements, Authorized Participant (AP) inquiries, Continuous Net Settlement, Rebalancing processing, Collateral processing, and PnL calculations.
- Manage multiple teams.
- Manage relationships with assigned clients and resolve any escalated issues related to Basket production.
- Direct and set priorities for processes that check for the completeness and accuracy of disclosure in financial statements. Provide guidance to teams managed to ensure that records are maintained in accordance with departmental policies and procedures. Resolve escalated issues from team members.
- Evaluate rules to determine impact of new regulations on BNY's Basket Services practices. Provide guidance to teams on implementation of new policies to follow regulations.
- Direct the drafting of financial reports for clients to review fund performance. Communicate reports and intricacies to clients.
- Recruit, direct, motivate and develop staff, maximizing their individual contribution, their professional growth and their ability to function effectively with their colleagues as a team.
- Lead working relationships with auditors and clients to make changes to financial reports and ensure they accurately depict fund performance.
To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following:
- Manages multiple small teams or one large team of staff.
- Contributes to the achievement of team objectives.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
- 5-7 years of total work experience preferred; working knowledge of custody and fund accounting, particularly as it relates to Exchange Traded Funds is preferred.
- At least 0-1 years in management preferred.
