As the General Manager for Liquibox North America, you will assume leadership for the growth plan and execution as well as integration of this critical business unit within Sealed Air's portfolio. You will be a strategic and results-oriented leader, responsible for driving significant and accelerated growth of our innovative flexible packaging solutions, particularly our market-leading bag-in-box technology, across the North American region. This role demands exceptional strategic agility, a strong focus on driving business acceleration, and the ability to lead complex transformation and integration efforts within a matrix environment, leveraging the broader resources of Sealed Air. You will lead a cross-functional dedicated team and work closely with various internal functions to capitalize on market opportunities within the food, beverage, and other fluid industries, while upholding Liquibox's commitment to quality, reliability, and customer partnership.

Key Responsibilities:



  • Lead and develop a high-performing team with full accountability for the North America Liquibox business outcomes, driving revenue growth, margin expansion, and overall profitability in alignment with Sealed Air's objectives, with a focus on accelerating growth trajectories.
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive business transformation and integration strategy for Liquibox North America, leveraging Sealed Air best practices where appropriate and the Liquibox core strengths in bag-in-box technology, sustainability focus (including solutions like Liquipure ultra), and innovative designs. This strategy will encompass market analysis, competitive positioning, product portfolio management, supply chain design and growth initiatives within the context of Sealed Air's broader strategy.
  • Align the organization to key deliverables, including regionalization, right-sizing, and talent alignment to growth, cost, and execution.
  • Implement base business processes to stabilize the business, including product approach, supply chain management, and commercial execution.
  • This role will have accountability for the full outcomes of the business including the performance of theSales, Marketing, and Product Portfolio functions (direct reports) as well as Supply Chain, Equipment, Commercial Finance, and R&D (dotted line reports) . Foster a collaborative and results-oriented environment within your team, with a focus on driving rapid execution and achieving accelerated growth targets.
  • Integrate Liquibox North America to align with the Sealed Air management system.
  • Drive product strategy and innovation, building upon Liquibox's legacy of developing cutting-edge flexible packaging solutions, fitments, filling equipment, and custom film structures. Identify and execute opportunities to accelerate innovation cycles and leverage Sealed Air's global innovation resources through effective collaboration.
  • Cultivate and strengthen relationships with key customers and partners in the food, beverage, and other fluid industries, understanding their evolving needs and positioning Liquibox as a trusted provider of high-quality and sustainable packaging solutions. Focus on developing strategic partnerships that drive accelerated growth.
  • Oversee the development and execution of effective sales and marketing strategies to expand market share, penetrate new applications, and promote Liquibox's unique value proposition, including its sustainability focus and bag-in-box expertise. Leverage Sealed Air's commercial infrastructure where appropriate through collaborative efforts.
  • Lead the annual operating plan (AOP) process and manage performance against key financial and operational targets, collaborating closely with Finance and other functional leaders within both Liquibox and Sealed Air. Drive a performance-oriented culture focused on exceeding targets and accelerating business outcomes.
  • Drive continuous improvement in safety, product quality, operational efficiency, service delivery, and sustainability performance across all aspects of the Liquibox North America business, working in conjunction with relevant support teams. Identify and implement initiatives to accelerate operational improvements.
  • Lead capital expenditure (CapEx) initiatives for growth and efficiency improvements, ensuring strategic investments that align with both Liquibox's and Sealed Air's objectives through cross-functional collaboration. Prioritize investments that will accelerate growth and market penetration.
  • Proactively monitor and analyze market trends, competitive landscape, and customer feedback, identifying opportunities for growth and differentiation, particularly in areas of sustainability and innovative packaging design, sharing insights with relevant internal teams. Develop proactive strategies to capitalize on emerging market opportunities and accelerate growth.
  • Lead negotiations for significant customer contracts and strategic partnerships, leveraging the combined strength of Liquibox and Sealed Air through effective internal coordination. Structure deals to maximize long-term value and accelerate business growth.
  • Develop and implement effective pricing strategies and models that reflect the value proposition of Liquibox's solutions and optimize profitability within the competitive landscape, working with relevant stakeholders.
  • Effectively communicate the business unit's vision, strategy, and performance to senior leadership within both Liquibox and Sealed Air. Collaborate effectively with other Sealed Air business units to identify synergies and best practices and accelerate the integration of Liquibox into Sealed Air.
  • Report directly to the North America Food Business General Manager.

    Requirements:



    • 10+ years of progressive leadership experience within a B2B environment, with significant P&L management responsibility for a business unit or major product line, including a demonstrated track record of accelerating business growth.
    • Proven success in developing and executing business strategies that have driven significant and rapid revenue and profit growth, ideally within the packaging industry or related sectors (e.g., food processing, beverage).
    • Strong understanding of flexible packaging technologies, particularly bag-in-box solutions, and their applications across various industries.
    • Demonstrated commitment to and understanding of sustainability principles and their application within a business context.
    • Proven ability to lead and develop indirect reports and to collaborate effectively within a matrix environment with functions like Supply Chain and Innovation. Experience in leading and integrating teams to achieve accelerated growth objectives is highly preferred.
    • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to translate market insights into actionable plans and drive rapid execution.
    • Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers, partners, and internal stakeholders at all levels and influence key stakeholders to support accelerated growth initiatives.
