Position Purpose



The Supervisor of Academic Affairs oversees Renown's Health's investment in medical and allied health education. Reporting to the Manager of Academic Affairs, the Supervisor of Academic Affairs supports and participates in the daily operational aspects of the Office of Academic Affairs and placing students in clinical educational experiences at Renown Health.



Nature and Scope



In addition to supporting the daily operational activities for the Office of Academic Affairs, this position will be responsible for leading a team of academic coordinators who effectively liaise with program coordinators from affiliated programs, Renown administrative staff, clinicians, and students to coordinate and execute the strategic direction for Renown Health's medical and allied health education programs. This position will:

Ensure the most effective operations of the Office of Academic Affairs through workflow development, process improvement, and coordination/integration of processes within the clinical environment.

* Standardize services, communication, processes, resources, and practice to improve efficiency.

* Provide a monthly update to management on preceptor need by program and by affiliation.

* Provide information to explain/clarify problems, issues, or requests.

* Analyze and evaluate ongoing department programs to identify areas where adjustments/improvements are needed.

* Assist with the preparation of and follow an annual operating budget.

* Assist with the evaluation of organizational functions and structures to best determine the allocation and utilization of resources.

* Assist in establishing and evaluating standards of performance to ensure safe, effective, and efficient operation of the office.

* Train, supervise, coach, and evaluate employees.

* Coordinate assigned learning experiences and perform learner onboarding tasks.

Minimum Qualifications

Requirements - Required and/or Preferred








Name Description

Education:



Must have working knowledge of the English language, including reading, writing, and speaking English. Must have a high school diploma. Bachelor's degree preferred.



Experience:



Minimum of three years' experience in administrative roles, with experience supervising others.



License(s):



Ability to obtain and maintain a valid State of Nevada driver's license and ability to pass Renown Health's Department of Motor Vehicle Report criteria.



Certification(s):



None



Computer / Typing:



Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word and have the ability to use the computer to complete online learning requirements for job-specific competencies, access online forms and policies, complete online benefits enrollment, etc.
