Responsibilities

Orrick is seeking Associates with 2-7 years of experience to join our Intellectual Property group, focusing on life sciences litigation. We are seeking candidates who demonstrate strong academic performance, and excellent writing and communication abilities. Preference will be given to those with technical degrees in biology, chemistry, pharmacology or related fields. The ideal candidates will have 2 or more years of experience specifically in life sciences patent litigation. Candidates should have experience in drafting briefs and engaging in all phases of fact and expert discovery.

Qualifications

Orrick is seeking Associates with 2-7 years of experience to join our Intellectual Property group, focusing on life sciences patent litigation.

* Excellent legal research, writing and communication skills, highly organized with strong attention to detail.
* Ability to manage multiple projects and work effectively in a team environment.
* Background in life sciences or related technical field.
* Juris Doctor (JD) degree is required.
* Admission to the state bar and in good standing.

Compensation and Benefits

The expected salary range for this position is between $235,000 and $435,000.

Orrick is committed to providing a comprehensive, competitive, and thoughtful total compensation package to our attorneys and staff, wherever they work. This compensation and benefits information is based on the Orrick's estimate as of the date of publication and may be modified in the future. The level of pay within the range will depend on a variety of job-related factors that may include, but not limited to, qualifications, relevant experience or education, particular skills or expertise, geography. Other compensation may include an annual discretionary merit bonus, which would be determined by Firm and individual performance.
