Summary

KEMET, a YAGEO Group company, is seeking a Corporate Quality Manager in Simpsonville, South Carolina. This position will be responsible for a variety of corporate quality duties which include managing the Internal Quality system and coordinating 3rd party quality certification audits.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the KEMET Internal Quality Audit (IQA) system, including planning, execution and oversight, follow-up, reporting, and supervision of the IQA team
• Help coordinate KEMET 3^rd party quality certification audits, such as ISO 9001, IATF 16949, and AS 9100, by assisting manufacturing locations in scheduling and providing technical support during the audits, as needed
• Coordinate payment to quality registrar for 3^rd party audits performed (all North American locations and some locations in Asia).
• Continually review for industry changes that could have an impact on the KEMET Quality Management System (QMS) and provide input on revisions to Corporate Documentation (QOD's) accordingly. Provide support to manufacturing locations to help with understanding of requirement changes
• Provide input to revisions of Corporate Quality Operating Documents
• Provide input to review of Customer Quality Requirements
• Gain knowledge of Military Specifications applicable to KEMET

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in related field and / or applicable work experience
• Minimum 3 years of experience working in a Quality role
• Manufacturing experience (Quality or Process Engineering) a plus
• Proficiency in English verbal and written skills
• Excellent people skills with the ability to coach and train others
• Understanding of QMS purpose and ability to provide input for improvement.
• Ability to thoroughly review and understand Quality Standards, Military Specifications, and Industry Standards and apply this knowledge to the KEMET QMS.
• This position remains a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods of time

• Travel - 25% - 40% mostly International
