POWER BI & REPORTING MANAGER

We're seeking a detail-driven and process-oriented Power BI & Reporting Manager to lead the administration, development, and optimization of Hillpointe's reporting environment. This role is central to ensuring accurate, consistent, and business-aligned reporting - while also driving data governance, KPI standardization, and cross-functional reporting support.

You'll own the Power BI environment, build and enhance dashboards, manage data pipelines via Microsoft Fabric, and deliver high-impact insights to leadership. This position requires deep technical expertise, strong project management skills, and a high degree of accountability and ownership.

What You'll Do:



  • Power BI Environment Management: Maintain dashboards, workspaces, permissions, scheduling, and ensure best practices.
  • Data Pipeline Oversight: Build and manage scalable pipelines in Microsoft Fabric; work with Data Engineering on schema and ingestion.
  • Reporting Delivery: Own daily operational reporting with strict QA checks; fulfill ad hoc requests and support business units.
  • KPI & Governance: Maintain consistent KPI definitions; align metrics with stakeholders and ensure data logic accuracy.
  • Validation & Quality Control: Audit and reconcile data across systems; troubleshoot issues and support accuracy assurance.
  • Documentation & Training: Maintain data dictionaries, provide BI tool training, and promote data literacy across teams.
  • Project & Stakeholder Management: Manage report request intake, timelines, and deliverables; align outputs with business goals.
  • Data Analysis & Strategic Insight: Leverage Power BI, SQL, Excel (Python a plus) to analyze trends, flag risks, and recommend improvements.



What You Bring:



  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Analytics, Finance, Computer Science, etc.); advanced degree or certifications a plus.
  • 5+ years in BI/reporting roles with strong Power BI and SQL skills; experience with Microsoft Fabric or Azure Synapse preferred.
  • Background in financial/accounting data and familiarity with real estate/private equity KPIs is a plus.
  • Experience managing full report life cycles, stakeholder relationships, and documentation/training creation.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, strong data validation habits, and the ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Bonus: Familiarity with Python, LLMs, Azure Data Factory, or other ELT/ETL tools.
