Technical Project Lead

What You'll Do:

• Assist in the technical oversight of the program, ensuring all technical requirements, goals, and specifications are clearly defined and met. Act as the technical point of contact for both internal and external stakeholders.
• Work alongside the Senior Program Manager to develop and manage program schedules, budgets, and milestones, ensuring that technical activities align with project timelines and deliverables.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate technical risks associated with the program. Provide recommendations for corrective actions to address technical issues as they arise.
• Coordinate with the engineering team, subject matter experts, and other departments to ensure seamless execution of technical tasks. Facilitate cross-functional collaboration and communication.
• Ensure all technical work complies with relevant standards, guidelines, and customer specifications.
• Support the preparation of technical documentation, including design specifications, reports, test plans, and presentations. Keep stakeholders informed of progress and technical issues through regular status updates and reports.
• Maintain strong communication with clients, subcontractors, and other external parties. Address technical questions and provide updates on technical aspects of the program.

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, project management, engineering, or a related field preferred; 1-4 years of relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of degree.

• Experience managing complex, multi-disciplinary projects in the defense industry.
• Deep understanding of the technical aspects of system design, engineering processes, and integration.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office. MS Project preferred.
• Familiarity with various contract types such as FFP and Time & Material (T&M) and commercial and FAR/DFAR contracting regulations - experience with federal ITAR regulations is a plus, but not required.
• Experience with ISO 9001 and/or AS 9100 Quality Management processes & procedures.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage and motivate cross-functional teams.
• Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a focus on practical solutions to technical challenges.
• Will be required to have a DoD Top Secret security clearance. Having an active Secret security clearance is a plus.
