Many people find that after a few years of work, their chosen field isn't what they would love to do. But after stocking up a few years of experience in a given field, it may be difficult to change careers, particularly if the two career paths are somewhat unrelated. If you have made the switch to a new career after years in another career, what steps did you take to make the change?
